We wrote this page ourselves, in plain English, and it has not been reviewed by an attorney. What it describes is accurate, because it is a description of what this site actually does. The review is on the list, and this page will change when it happens.
This is a small site. It does two things that involve you at all: it offers a form where you can give us your email address, and it points you at a booking page.
What we collect, and only if you hand it over
- Your email address
- Collected only when you fill in one of the email forms. It is held by our email provider, Kit, and used to send you the thing you asked for and occasionally a short note when we have written something worth reading. If Kit sends you an email asking you to confirm your address, nothing else is sent until you click it. Every email will carry an unsubscribe link.
- Which page you signed up from
- One word, stored alongside your address, so we know which page you signed up on.
- Your Systems Check answers, if you send them
- On the home page, the Systems Check is scored in your browser. If you then send your results with your email, your eight answers and the scores are stored with your address, so a call can start where you are. If you do not send them, they never leave the page.
- Tracking words in a link you followed
- If you reached the form through a link that had campaign parameters on the end of it, those words are stored with your address too. They say which post or which email brought you here. They say nothing about you.
- The page that sent you here
- If your browser tells the site which page you came from, that web address may be passed to Kit with your signup, so we know which link worked. Browsers usually send only the site's name, not the full page.
What the diagnostic does
The diagnostic is scored entirely inside your browser. Your answers are put into the page's web address, which is what makes a result shareable and repeatable. They are not sent to us and this site does not store them, unless you separately fill in the email form on the result — and even then, what reaches us is your address, not your answers.
What we never do with it
- We do not sell, rent or trade your address. Not to anyone, for any reason.
- There is no advertising on this site and there are no advertising pixels on it.
- We do not build a profile of you across other websites.
What is not measured
There is no analytics product running on this site. No page-view counter, no visitor measurement, no session recording, no heat map. We do not know how many people read any page here. The only thing counted is how many form submissions succeeded or failed, which is a running total with no address in it.
If that changes — and it may, because knowing which page people read would be useful — this page changes first, in the same edit, and it will say what is collected and by whom.
The services this site runs on
Each of these is a company paid to do one job. Each holds data under its own privacy policy, and the job is named so you can see how far each one reaches.
- Cloudflare
- Serves the site. Like any web host it sees the network address your request comes from, and the site uses that to limit how fast a single visitor can make requests. When the site writes a fault or warning message, Cloudflare keeps it for a few days so the fault can be fixed, and that log may include the page address and your network address. We do not copy either anywhere else, and neither is used to work out who you are.
- Kit
- The email provider. It holds the address you gave us, the page you signed up from and, if you took the Systems Check, your answers. It sends what we send.
- Calendly
- The booking page, which is a different website. If you book a call, the name and answers you type go to Calendly directly, not through this site.
If payment is ever taken, it will go through a processor on the processor's own page, and this page will name it before that happens. Card details would never touch this site and we would never see them.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, asks you to accept nothing, and does not follow you from site to site. That is why there is no cookie banner on it.
The hidden field on the form
Every email form here has one field you cannot see and will never type into. Automated submissions fill it in; people do not, so a filled-in one is discarded. It collects nothing about you, and the only thing it can tell us is that a submission was not made by a person.
How long we keep it
Once the list is running, your address stays on it until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Apart from Cloudflare's short fault log, described above, nothing else is kept.
How to be removed
Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to daytenconsulting@gmail.com and ask. We will delete your address and tell you when it is done. You do not have to give a reason, and you can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you at the same address.
If this page changes
The date at the top changes with it. If a change means something new is being collected, that will be said here in the same plain language as the rest of it.
